Stars have been a source of inspiration for many artists, having been interpreted and represented in many ways throughout the centuries. Found in paintings and songs, they have also made their way into the world of haute horlogerie, gaining special favor with Roger Dubuis.

Having dubbed 2015 the Year of the Astral Skeleton, numerous timepieces from the maison have been used as horological depictions of the celestial bodies. The Excalibur Star of Infinity, in particular, made use of 312 baguette-cut diamonds as its sparkly interpretation. Totaling about 14.93ct, these precious stones are a nice adjunct to the 45mm white gold case and skeletonized charcoal gray movement.

This movement, with its Double Flying Tourbillon, demonstrates watchmaking prowess at par with their jewelers’ expertise.
